Reports were hitting social media last month regarding Google Docs users being "wrongfully locked out of their files" from what seemed to be an alleged violation of the Google Terms of Service agreement. The user's were receiving the following error, "this item has been flagged as inappropriate and can no longer be shared" and the only choice was to dismiss the error or request a review from Google. It is believed that an erroneous “code push” caused a small percentage of Google Docs to be incorrectly flagged as abusive on Tuesday, according to Google as reported by Marcio Jose Sanchez/Associated Press.

Maya Salem, reporting for the NYTimes writes, "depending on whether those affected had created the document or whether it was shared with them, they were stopped from gaining access to the file or from sharing it. " What you need to know is this: "Google is scanning your documents and a bug in their content scanning engine could keep you from them.
